Achievement Award Recognizes member achievements within DKG, both professionally and personally; selects a recipient of the Chapter Achievement Award each year or biennium. |

Archives Locates, organizes, and arranges storage of memorabilia (including annual copies of the yearbook) to ensure preservation of the chapter history; prepares displays of chapter memorabilia as needed; creates a chapter scrapbook for each biennium and ensures chapter history is sent to the State archives each biennium. |

Ceremonies Conducts chapter ceremonies: induction, chapter birthday, Founder’s Day, installation of officers, and memorial services. The chair keeps the chapter's ceremonial paraphernalia. The committee conducts a chapter Celebration of Life for a departed member and participates in the funeral service if requested. |

Chapter Rules Keeps members informed about any changes to State or International documents, assists the Membership Committee with ongoing society orientation concerning the Constitution, keeps chapter rules updated, and submits updated chapter rules to the State Bylaws and Rules Committee every two (2) years (state biennium) as required. |

Communications & Publicity Publicize society and chapter activities locally; investigate strategies to increase awareness of the chapter’s presence and activities; send chapter news to state editor/photographer; encourage members to submit manuscripts to the various Society publications. Publish the chapter newsletter (at 5 times a year) incorporating news from International and State publications as well as chapter items; mail copies of newsletters to the required State personnel in a timely fashion. |

Courtesy, Transportation & Social Affairs Provides information about meetings to the members prior to the meeting dates via telephone, email, or text message; facilitates transportation for those who may need assistance; disperses information as needed. Serves as liaison to the newsletter editor. Assists Educational Excellence Committee with preparation for special events and meetings; recognizes member birthdays at meetings. |

Education Excellence Program Includes Global Awareness, Legislation, Music, Personal and Professional Enrichment, Programs and Service Projects, Research and Women in the Arts. The committee plans, coordinates, and assesses the need for programs which maintain the Society’s focus for the biennium.

Finance Receives requests for funds from other committees, reviews dues, prepares and submits a budget, supervises expenditures, provides for audit, reviews financial records annually, and reports to the Executive Board. |

High School Grant Inaugurate a scholarship for a senior girl from the area high schools represented in the chapter; formulate qualifications and methods for awarding this grant. |

Membership Recommends and leads efforts to recruit new members, receives Recommendation for Membership Form, prepares information on prospective members, conducts selection of new members according to chapter rules, conducts the orientation for new members, collaborates with the Ceremonies Chair for the induction ceremony, conducts a reorientation session for members as necessary. Chair assists the treasurer in contacting members who are pending dues. The chair reports the death of a member with the chapter president, by submitting a Report of the Death of a Member (Form 6) as soon as possible to International, TSO, and Necrology Chair for Texas. Committee conducts a chapter Celebration of Life for the departed member and participates in the funeral service if requested. |

Nominations Solicits suggestions for officers from the membership, ascertains that those nominated will serve, and conducts elections. The Chair submits the list of elected officers with their contact information to state and international representatives as soon as possible after the election but no later than March 15 of even numbered years. The Chair is named by the incoming president from the elected members of the committee. |

Recruitment Grant Serves to fulfill part of the chapter’s Program of Work by formulating qualifications and methods for awarding this grant. Committee also chooses a recipient ready to start her student teaching at UT-RGV. |

Scholarship Encourages members to apply for International and State scholarships and grants for personal, professional, and classroom needs.
